1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Pasango, operated by Pasango Technology. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Description of Service
Pasango is an AI-powered, gamified exam preparation platform designed for Ghanaian students preparing for BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) and WASSCE (West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination). The Service includes:
- Interactive quiz modes (Classic Quiz, Duel, Survival, Speed Blitz, Boss Rush, and more)
- AI-powered personalized study recommendations and an AI study companion
- Progress tracking with XP, levels, streaks, and achievements
- Leaderboards at school, regional, and national levels
- Curriculum-aligned content for Mathematics, English, Science, and Social Studies
- Free and premium subscription tiers
3. Account Registration
- You must create an account to access most features of the Service.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at support@pasango.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Eligibility
The Service is intended for students enrolled in JHS 1–3 and SHS 1–3 in Ghana, as well as parents, guardians, and educators supporting those students. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service. By using Pasango, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
5.1 Free and Paid Plans
Pasango offers both free and paid subscription plans. Free plans provide limited access to features, while paid plans unlock the full platform experience.
5.2 Billing
- Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected).
- You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the subscription fees.
- Prices are displayed in the currency indicated at the time of purchase and may be subject to change with prior notice.
5.3 Cancellation and Refunds
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@pasango.com for refund requests.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.
- Attempt to cheat, exploit bugs, or manipulate leaderboards, XP, or game outcomes.
- Harass, bully, or behave inappropriately toward other users in duels or any interactive features.
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or other tools to access the Service without our written permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
7. AI Features and Content
- The AI study companion and personalized recommendations are provided as educational aids and should not be treated as a substitute for professional academic guidance from teachers or tutors.
- While we strive to align all content with the NaCCA curriculum, AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors. We encourage students to verify information with their textbooks and teachers.
- You agree not to attempt to manipulate, abuse, or misuse the AI features in ways that could generate harmful, offensive, or misleading content.
8. Intellectual Property
- All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio, software, and the underlying code — are owned by Pasango Technology or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
- You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on the platform without our prior written consent.
9. User Content
If you submit content to the Service (such as profile information or feedback):
- You retain ownership of your content but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and process it as needed to operate the Service.
- You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate any third-party rights.
- We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
- Results obtained from the Service (including exam scores or predictions) will be accurate or reliable.
- Any defects will be corrected in a specific timeframe.
Pasango is a supplementary study tool. We do not guarantee any specific exam results, grades, or academic outcomes.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pasango Technology and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pasango Technology, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
13. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.
- You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@pasango.com or through your account settings.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limitations) will continue to apply.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Accra, Ghana.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
